Our Projects
Empowering faith through action — our projects serve spiritual growth, education, and community welfare.
From restoring ancient temples to feeding the poor and supporting students, every project is a step in devotion.
Temple Restoration
Restoring ancient temples is not just construction — it is preserving history, culture, and faith. Our flagship project at Tamil Kadavul Malaysia Murugan Charitable Trust is the complete restoration and infrastructure development of the sacred Sendraya Swami Malai. This hill has been a divine center for over 500 years and is home to multiple temples, including the 300+ year-old Thimmaraya Swami (Sendraya Swami) Temple, Panjamuga Anjaneyar Temple, Lalithambigai Swami Temple, Malaysia Murugan Temple (built in 2017), and the mountaintop Shiva Lingam.
The restoration work involves both structural and spiritual components. Structurally, we are strengthening temple foundations, renovating cracked and damaged walls, restoring ancient sculptures, and reviving original stone carvings using traditional techniques. Architecturally, we maintain the temple’s heritage look while ensuring it’s safe for today’s visitors. We're constructing steps leading to each shrine on the hill and laying a concrete Girivalam path — a 360° walking route that is used by hundreds of devotees during every full moon.
We’re also working on additional infrastructure: permanent flooring, lighting, fencing, water points, and clean restrooms. The terrain is steep and requires safety features for elderly devotees. This restoration is not funded by government grants but entirely by community donations. Every brick reflects your faith. This divine duty is open for contribution — we welcome sponsors for Gopuram painting, temple flooring, shrine repair, and more. Join us in preserving our Murugan’s legacy.

Annadhanam Service
Annadhanam — the offering of food — is one of the most sacred forms of charity in Hinduism. At Tamil Kadavul Malaysia Murugan Charitable Trust, we believe that feeding people is equal to feeding God. Every Tuesday, we organize full-day annadhanam at the temple hill. From breakfast to dinner, all devotees and visitors are served with love, regardless of their background. This act of compassion strengthens community bonds and blesses both giver and receiver.
Special annadhanam drives are also held during major Murugan festivals like Vaikasi Visagam, Aadi 18, Aadi Krithigai, Thaipusam, Panguni Uthiram, and Kanda Sashti. Hundreds of devotees partake in these meals. We encourage individuals to sponsor annadhanam on their birthdays, anniversaries, or in memory of loved ones. This allows people to turn their personal milestones into moments of spiritual service.
Our kitchen is clean, well-managed, and staffed by volunteers who treat the service with utmost devotion. Beyond the temple, we also distribute food to nearby old-age homes and orphanages, especially during special events. The Trust hopes to expand this service by creating a dedicated annadhanam hall in the future. To sponsor a meal is to nourish a soul — join us in this divine cause.

Scholarships & School Supplies
Education is the strongest foundation for building a better society, and our Trust has made it a mission to support underprivileged students through educational aid. Each academic year, the Tamil Kadavul Malaysia Murugan Charitable Trust identifies economically challenged students from the villages surrounding Elumichangiri and Krishnagiri and provides them with necessary school supplies — such as uniforms, notebooks, pens, school bags, and exam guides.
In addition to supplies, we offer scholarships to meritorious students from Tamil backgrounds who struggle financially. These scholarships help them continue their studies without interruption — especially during higher secondary and college years, when dropout rates are typically high. We firmly believe that a child who studies today becomes a responsible citizen tomorrow.
Our goal is not just to give material aid but to nurture ambition and confidence. Volunteers conduct motivation sessions, career guidance programs, and basic computer literacy workshops. Every child deserves an equal opportunity, and through this project, we aim to ensure that education never stops due to poverty. You too can sponsor a child’s school kit or offer a scholarship in memory of a loved one — your contribution writes a future.

Spiritual Yatras & Marriage Aid
Spiritual journeys have the power to cleanse the mind and uplift the soul. At Tamil Kadavul Malaysia Murugan Charitable Trust, we organize spiritual yatras (pilgrimages) for senior citizens and financially challenged devotees who may not otherwise get the opportunity to visit sacred places. These yatras include trips to renowned Murugan temples across Tamil Nadu and South India, such as Palani, Swamimalai, Thiruchendur, and Pazhamudircholai.
Transport, food, accommodation, and guide arrangements are taken care of by the Trust, ensuring a peaceful and devotional experience. These yatras deepen the connection with Lord Murugan and help devotees feel spiritually fulfilled. In addition, we plan to expand these trips to include holy places outside Tamil Nadu in the future.
Apart from spiritual service, the Trust also supports marriage assistance for financially struggling families. We understand that wedding expenses can be overwhelming for those with limited income. We assist such families with basic needs — including sarees, veshtis, thamboolam items, and small financial aid — especially for orphaned or abandoned brides. We’ve helped several girls get married with dignity and without debt. With community support, we aim to do more. Helping someone’s marriage or spiritual journey is one of the noblest acts — your donation could be part of that divine journey.

Online Volunteering & Digital Support
In today’s digital age, service to divinity can extend beyond physical presence. The Tamil Kadavul Malaysia Murugan Charitable Trust proudly welcomes online volunteers and digital contributors from around the world who wish to serve Murugan through modern means. Whether you're a designer, a content writer, a social media enthusiast, a fundraiser, or a tech-savvy devotee, there's a way for everyone to contribute.
Volunteers help us manage our online presence — from maintaining our website, updating event information, creating festival posters, to managing social media campaigns that promote temple activities and attract new devotees. Many have supported us by creating donation pages, managing UPI QR codes, and coordinating virtual fundraising drives. Others have helped us translate materials into multiple languages, enabling us to reach Murugan devotees across regions and continents.
This digital seva (service) is especially valuable for those who cannot be physically present at the temple but still feel connected to its mission. Every message you forward, every campaign you share, every post you design — it all adds value to the cause. We welcome passionate individuals or teams who want to offer their time and talent. If your heart is with Murugan, distance doesn’t matter — your seva is always counted.
